I'm finally looking to get my 66 barracuda off to have sheet metal and paint work done. I'm looking for some recommendations for a shop that knows old MOPARs or that you can recommend does quality work. I'm in the north-west side of the Orlando Fla metro area. thanks.

Todds Body Shop in Deland. Never had anything done there but I've seen his work. Very nice. But again, no personal experience. Lots of images on his FB page. Might be worth a look?

Davis Customs in Sanford, FL . He is right by the Sanford airport. He is an absolute magician. Tell him that I sent you!

No one provides quicker, more reasonable work than him. And his work is 12/10 quality. Highly recommend.

How much work and what's your price range?

I've been looking for 2 years for someone to paint my 73 Satellite that doesn't want 5-6K to do it.

I want OEM style single stage (which I already have), and the 60,000 original mile car only has 7 shopping cart style dings and no rust other than lots of tiny specs of surface rust starting through cracking paint that didn't like the primer when it was last painted over two decades ago.

I finally found a place and it just went in this week.

I'll wait until I see the finished work until I name them or issue a recommendation.

I am about an hour South of you.

Thank you for all the leads - I'm following up on them as well as talking to Realistic Restorations in St Pete (they have done a 66 cuda in the past)
YY1 as far as work needed primarily repair of Dvr side fender/hood and bumper area from a collision I had in 1985 (car has been garage kept since) There are some suspected repair areas that were done by the original owner prior to when I bought the car in 1983 that will need to be looked at as well. Price is going to be what it takes.

Another one you might want to consider is Mike Staveski of LexiJ, Inc/ RMR Dreamcars in Hudson Florida. He has done a lot of Mopars and mainly full builds with restomodding (they put back together my 1973 Plymouth Duster and did the paint and uploaded some recent pics)... Yet they still do smaller jobs too, and might be worth you checking out West of you for another possible option.

Thanks for the lead korican - did you have any restomod work done by them or just paint and body work?

You can see the name of the Paint Shop I used. He is in Hudson, Fl. He will probably charge you a fraction of the Resto shops. If I told you what all they did and charged you probably wouldn't believe me. And yes he is a Mopar Man!

Hudson Fla seems like a hot spot … primarily I need a hood, bumper & fender replace/inner fender repair. I have all the sheet metal needed. Also I need some less than quality rust repairs (from the 80s) redone.

Technically I guess is my answer in regards to getting the drivetrain together and working lol My car was being worked on for 6.1 Hemi/545RFE swap and some other things. Yet that shop closed and rightful so for bad practices. Mike Staveski really helped me out with taking the garbage I was left with and putting it all back together with painting it.

First pic is when I first got my Duster, and following pics were two and a half years with the garbage shop stringing me along that started work on the swap then they also damaged my car at some point. Which prompted them to scuff for a repaint which they never did. Then they basically just dumped everything outside and left it for me to come pick up. I was lost and other shops wouldn't even consider touching it unless they got to completely start over/full restoration. Mike Staveski saved me and saved my Duster, and I have been driving her for last couple years now thanks to him and his guys.

More pics of progress, and Mike Staveski also did the Dakota Digital gauge cluster.

Looks like they did some great work for you. I've been checking out their web presence at LexiJ, Inc/ RMR Dreamcars and I like what I see. I'm not going so deep into RestoMod as your Duster but I'm looking at having some work done.

Mike Staveski also contacted me a year after they did the work to check on me and things too. Which I was surprised by cause they didn't do a full build for me and what I paid them was not like what his other customers would (six figure builds). So I thought that was really cool of him to do too. Made me wish I had gone with him in the beginning with the Gen3 Hemi swap and stuff.

So yeah there is some cool stuff out there on this past stuff...
