Restored 71 wiper motor - harness

Just had my 71 motor rebuilt - and I didn't recall this small harness on the motor when I sent it in; 71 Demon 340-4spd.

Looked in my new 71 chassis manual and FSM and can't decipher where this plug goes to?
I don't seen anything on the current engine harness, but its been spliced a hundred times and is being replaced.

I'm looking to see where the plug with the purple and black wire go to?

None of mine have that. Who did your motor? Might call them.

I'm not sure, but isnt there some wiring that goes to ign switch or something like that....I think on 67 there is.
Check accessory/console schematics maybe?

Ya I would call him. None of my 70-72 motors have those extra wires.

Ok, being told its for the reverse switch light for 4 spd?

Okay that makes sense. I did a 4-spd conversion on my 72 and I think I added those wires for the dash reverse light. It's been a while so I would need to check when I get to the shop.
