Restoring dads coupe from the mid 60s

My dad built this kit in the mid 60s when he was a kid he found it the other day and said do what ya want well I'm going to save what I can using a parts kit

I up graduated his slicks but I refused the front tires non of the wheels will be reused on this kit as the chrome is so old it just comes off with a light touch.

I could not reuse the frame as the kit was built with real glue that melted everything

well I got the wheels and the headers drying also got that pic you wanted

Done it's not the best but its 50 years old and warped.

That looks great man. The spider decal is sooo cool. It reminds me of a Saturday morning cartoon from the sixties. Scooby Doo and the eight legged monster or some crazy stuff like that.

I thought the same thing I tried to leave the body alone the best I could . dad said he was like 10 when he built it so its for sure 60s
