What I dont understand is that this 410 was not something written down on paper and an object of speculation and cheap talk. It was an engine ACTUALLY built with these heads that everyone wants to discredit, built with inexpensive, but good parts and machine work, put in a duster, and it ran a 10 second pass. What's the problem?????

Yup. A 10 second ride with budget heads. And hell, they haven't been opened up yet. I guess people either don't believe it or they're jealous that they can't run the number with a build that they have way more money into. Either way I wish they'd quit pissing on this thread.

I appreciate the effort Brian has put into this and I can't wait for a part 2 and hopefully more installments into this build-up.

I appreciated it, in fact I may use a set of those heads when I put the 360 short block from the Scamp back in the Duster. That car was great as a low 11 second car. You certainly have me thinking about them. What was the chamber cc, I must have missed that.

That can make a big difference if your looking for more compression or just enough to stay out of detonation.

This really is good to know when targeting a specific static or dynamic CR. Do you charge extra for this service or is it included in the price of the heads?

We got ours from "another" vendor (NOT Hughes...) and they all checked at 62.5, which was actually kinda where we wanted them...I asked for 62. Close enough I guess...
