It is with excitement and enthusiasm that Al Corda announces the sale of Rock Falls Raceway to Jim Greenheck of CTech Manufacturing, a long time drag racer and businessman from Schofield, WI, effective October 5, 2015. Many exciting updates will be taking place at Rock Falls Raceway including the re-paving of the racetrack this fall to include new concrete from the burn boxes to the 330', new asphalt racing surface, expanded turn off areas as well as the straightening out of the right lane and an expanded run-off area at the top end. There are many other improvements planned for the future which will be announced later. In addition, the existing track manager, Jennifer Anderson, shall continue the day-to-day operations of the race track.
Because of the time frame with the weather, the re-paving project will be started on October 5 and as a result, all currently scheduled events at Rock Falls Raceway for the weekends of October 10-11 and October 17-18 are being cancelled so the re-paving project can be completed before snow flies. This is a very exciting new venture for all parties involved including the racers, fans and community. We look forward to a new and improved Rock Falls Raceway in 2016!!
For those people who are not on the internet or have access to it, we ask that you please spread the word and tell your friends about the cancellation of the remaining events for the 2015 drag racing season. Thank you to all!! Check back for further updates as the improvements take place.
