Wonder if there is a company that makes rockers & rear quarters that will fit this 75 Duster that isn't ungodly expensive? The rockers & quarters on this are completely shot & I figure this will be a great car to learn bodywork on.

Thank you in advance!

Keep in mind price isn’t the only consideration. The cheapest panels usually don’t fit as well, requiring more work to get the installation done.

For the quarters it really depends on the amount of repair needed, if you just need to patch the lower sections you can buy the rear lower patches, or one of the quarter skins and just use the parts you need. But at some point installing the whole OE style quarter becomes less work, so if you save a few hundred bucks but then spend several extra days welding and doing body work it may not be worth it.

That's a good point regarding the pricing-to-quality. I guess more so just due to the fact that I truly don't know how much deeper the rust issues go. Heck I took the carpet out of it & found total Swiss cheese, so I took old scrap metal (was wayyy to thick too so that made it come out mediocre at best) patched it together to have a floor.

Rust is pretty much always more extensive than you originally thought, so you should definitely get an in depth idea of what the damage really is and then plan on replacing even more than that.

Patches can actually be more labor and time intensive than replacing an entire panel, there’s definitely a crossover point. Because the OE panels are all spot welded, it can be significantly less welding to install an entire panel than a large patch that has to be welded completely along its full length. Obviously there are other considerations, but I think most of us tend to underestimate how much work a few large-ish patches can be.

I know I did multiple patches to repair the floor of my Challenger, and after all was said and done it would likely have been faster to replace the whole pan as a unit. Not to mention a cleaner looking finished product. Materials wise it was cheaper than buying a full pan, but by hours of labor I definitely lost.

For the rockers, remember those are very structural, and you’re going to want to set everything up level and square before you take the old ones off so you can check that everything is level and square as you install the new ones!

you only get what you pay for. i have much experience with panel replacement and repair. full panels are the way to go if you have the equipment to do it. the new way to install patches is 2 part panel glue. no warpage and when using a flange tool barely any seam to cover. find an experienced friend local to help you if you never did it.

these are amd and did not fit the car perfectly on the passenger side only . other companies are way worse . amd is the only good full quarter. others are good for patches only. amd is the cats meow for panels. make sure the car is level and braced if you don't have a body fixture to set it on. 4 jack stand and shims under them if needed. front and back of all 4 frame rails. new hinge pin bushings if loose then align the doors and leave them on for reference. oh yeah save your bumper opening for 74-76 cars the opening may be different on the quarters you receive for the bumper filler.

sorry for no caps i am typing one finger left handed only. lost use of right hand for now. i hope it comes back nerve damage after surgery.

Full 1/4 panels are pricey but aren't that expensive when you consider the total cost of fixing these cars up.

Patches more welding, more bondo, more time you are not saving what you think in a lot of cases.

I used numerous RV Jack Stands to brace my car when I did full floor and trans cross member replacement.
