Has anyone used the schumacher adapter motor mounts? Looking to use my '73 /6 k frame with a 340 or 360. Or has anyone used another method for mounting a small block on a /6 frame? Thanks

Used the schumachers on a 73 Dart....it was a 318, though...but it was spool mount. Installed a 400 in the car and it was real easy with their mounts. Also used their headers. They are quality, too.

I used the trans-dapt mounts on my '70 dart. Went from a slant 6 to a magnum 360. They fit great and cost about a 1/3 the price of the schumacher stuff and look pretty much exactly the same.

Does trans adapt make them now for spool mount 73-76 K frames ? They didn't a while back

I used their mounts to put a 318 in a '74 Duster that had a /6.
I give them an "A"

Answered my own question with a google search. Trans Dapt only makes swap mounts for the 68-72 a body biscuit type k frames per their website. Won't work on a 73-76 k

Agree with 318, used them on my 74 Swinger, work perfectly.

Warning!!!!!!

Your search is correct!!!!

Poster may not realize that the earlier year K frames differ from the later year K frames and the swap kit does not work on the later year spool K frame mounts.

I have used the kit your looking at 4 different times now. Allways a good result except the /6 - B block swap. Which may have been my fault. Which I'll figure it out later. To busy with other stuff right now.

I used the schumacher adapter motor mounts on my 76 duster, /6 to 360 conversion. I did receive one wrong mount the first time but called them and the quickly shipped the correct one. The mounts worked great and were easy to install, only have to drill one hole and they come with good instructions. Good Luck!

I had forgot that the later model A's had a different mount setup! The Schumacher setup isn't too expensive in the grand scheme of things. But there isn't much to the kit either.

Have used numerous sets of Schumacher mounts over the years and for different applications. High quality and always worked as advertised.

This time I went cheap and got the transdapt ones. Never again. No where the quality of Schumacher. I'll pay the extra next time.
