these are the type of seats i want for my dart. was wondering if ya think the Black Velour would look ok in the car? figure down the road i would just get the rear seat to match. my thinking was that the Black Velour would be cooler in the hot months to sit on and i shouldn't stick to them from sweating. what is you guys opinion? Black Velour or the Black Vinyl?

Joe those are the same seats Ive been thinking about for my fish. After debating the same thing as you I decided to just go with the vinyl because of wear and the fact that they will clean up better. Plus I also just like the way they look better. I might end up kicking myself for not going with the velour when its really hot out, but we shall see.

Hmmmmm........velour or vinyl is a tough choice. I have a customer that has those seats in his 69 camaro. They are comfortable and hold you in place.

Good point about the heat in the summer but I think the velour seats would look out of place. Vinyl would look more appropriate.

come on joe, you are driving a 70's era car. a non a/c car at that. why worry about keeping cool? driving around in these cars is cool enough! lol
i say sweat alittle, and enjoy the extra comfort of the vinyl. that is part of the appeal of these cars, power with little in the way of creature comforts.....

oh it will have A/C down the road. probably not till i put the 408 in it though. actually ahve to build it first..lol last year at carlise i was talking to dave from totally auto about the seats. he put them in the power tour cuda he had. said they were very comfortable. can't wait to get something other then the bench seat in the car. an added plus is the baby seat will fit with buckets..

Nice looking seats! All sweating aside, I like the looks of the vinyl. Has a richer look.

yeah they do look very comfortable at that. i still think vinyl is the way to go as it will be easier to keep clean and it will look more like the 70's. the velour will kinda stand out too much in my opinion....

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those seats from? or where are you going to get those seats from?

http://www.procarbyscat.com/ the seatrs i have pictured are the ELITE LUMBAR. scat makes some cool seats. i was originally thinking i would just put stock buckets in it but when cores are going for so much its nuts to just not spend the same and maybe even less to get a comfortable seat. i want to do long distance drives in my car so i need something comfortable for it.

Right clicking on the image above and selecting "properties" gives a link to the picture. A little bit of quick detective work, and I came up with this URL:

was also thinking of putting tan in the car. thought it would break things up some. but all my friends don't think it would look right in a yellow car.

I like the black vinyl. Thinking of installing a pair in my car also. They look really comfy.

They are the Scat Sportsmen seats. The brackets fit great. You drill though the floor where the seat frame is under the floor. The one side of the bracket bolts there. The other side is through the floor. They are very comfortable. The only thing is they are higher then the stock seats. My steering wheel is 11 1/2" so I have a little more clearance. My wife and I like them.
