Sharkstooth grill

Are Sharktooth grill headlight trim different than the standard grill? Also what color or colors is the sharktooth grill to be? I just picked up one and it needs redone but not sure how they were originally were painted.

The headlight doors or bezels are the same as regular grill (70/72) other than colour. The sharktooth grill and bezels are Argent silver in colour. Some of the other grills could be trimmed out in black. Also I believe a 69 or 70 valiant uses the same bezels ??

Some grilles were all silver and some were blacked out. If the grille is molded in black they were the strongest and were all silver. If they were molded in grey they were blacked out. The Molded in black never cracked from the grille trim screws. The molded in grey usually are cracked at every molding screw.

Molded in black are the hardest to find and usually bring premium money. I had and sold a lot of these grilles over the years.

That's interesting about the color of the plastic, I didn't know that. I'm going to look at the one I have in the original box from the Pittsburgh depot, never installed on a car. Thanks
