I thought the black paint would hold up too, but it is flaking off now.

I bought my headers new, and out of the box, I had my headers sand blasted, then had them glass beaded to clean up any misses the sand blaster missed, then wiped them down to grease and wax remover then painted them with high temp paint.

It's been 3 years and maybe 3000 miles and they still look great!

Got to get that paint off to start with!

Yea, I'm disappointed. I bought mine new too, and after all that work installing them, I guess they didn't use Header paint when they were made. I just finished my Duster will post Pic's soon

My son raced sprint cars, I asked him what paint they used on their headers, he said wd40! Keep them wiped down they won't rust and stay reasonably black, Thought that was interesting!

Come on guys lets see some sixes!

My 1976 Dart. I’m very proud of this car and so far have learned a lot. Trying to keep it as original as possible.

This is my 72. Looks good from a distance, but I did repair all the wheel well rot with new steel. Could use upholstery on front seat, but overall nice more door. Have almost all my turbo parts for the 225.
Bunch of car guys I know don’t understand “why I would want a 6 cylinder 4 door” But I like it alot

I've owned several more door A bodies. I like 'um.
Like you many poo-pooed my cars.
My answer is "they can do everything a 2 door can but cost way less.If you would like you can buy me a 2 door".
In the future I plan on getting a 4 door 69-72 Valiant for my last and final Mopar.
Got to sell off everything I have now.
