Signing up to become a Gold Member

I wanted to become a Gold Member and got to the end of the process but it looks like even if you use a credit card you are required to open a PayPal account. I currently do not want to do that, maybe at a later date. Is there a way to just put in my CC info and just do this like any other CC purchase or am I missing something?

Have one of your FABO friends on here to "Gift" you the Gold Membership.

Then you can send them a check in the mail to cover the costs for making it happen.

I believe there is an option to use a credit card. It is in Pay Pal settings I think.

You do not have to have a paypal account.

When I click on "Purchase" it takes me directly to Pay Pal and I don't see that screen or option.

This doesn't effect me but it would be nice to know when members ask me a question. When I click on the purchase button this is the next screen I see. No option to log out. Damn, I think I just bought a Gold membership for myself. I clicked on the Agree and continue screen to see where it would take me. @joeychgo I apparently have to go to Pay Pal and log out of it then back to FABO to get the other option?

Only A bodies.. well compared to B bodies... automatically signs you up for yearly renewal. After purchase you then have to go back in and cancel the autorenewal.

Thanks for the info. I still don't get it, I got a message saying thanks for opening a PayPal account after I made payment with my CC.

Yes if you dont want to use paypal you should first log out of your PP account.

Paypal is setup that things can go through paypal but then be charged to your cc --- so it doesn't come out of your PP balance. This is true for any transaction through PP. So if you have a PP its best to use it instead of tracking transactions across different credit cards. But if you don't have PP you do NOT have to have a PP account to sign up as I posted above.
