simplifying a test circuit setup

If you need to run voltage from battery to under dash or other place, you can either use lamp cord or this stuff (much smaller gauge) instead of running 2 separate wires for + and -.
Doesn't take much space in bottom of tool box. I'd like to have a simple means of attaching it to battery terminals instead of 2 small vise grip type tools. Ideas?

Those wider ones would work.........in 30 years of working on cars, I've never had those. THanks
A kaput timing light or other test equipment would have nice clips, too.
