I have a auto tranny from a 70 Dart Slant 6 that has cables. Will this tranny work on a 65 Auto Dart?

If it has a shift cable next to the bell-housing and a park cable near the rear, it is a 63-65 tranny. How it came to be in a 70 Dart is a mystery. All trannys have a single speedometer cable.
