slant 6 valve guides

quick question.......

Are the slant 6 valve guides just pressed in and out?

Just getting into checking for wear on mine and was wondering if they can be taken out and replaced with a Hydraulic press at home.

I seen them installed with an air hammer with the appropriate tool. But bronze is softer than iron so be careful. Cast was stock, and lasted a great many miles. Bronze is much better on the intake side.

As stated in post #2. The stock guides are part of the head, and not replaceable. If they are worn out, they need to be machined oversized, and inserts installed. If the guides already have had inserts installed, then they can be replaced.
