I have a 1974 225 Slant Six that was pulled 3 weeks ago. Motor ran like a top and had great oil pressure. Decent compression between 100-110 on all cylinders. It had 120k+ miles on it and a lifter tick so i would recommend a rebuild.

Slant Six bellhousing 904 that had no issues. Shifted smooth and had clean fluid. Filter/fluid flushed 4 months ago. Known Good Trans.

SBP 7.25" rear end. Diff had no issues, drove the car with this rearend plenty of miles. Old leaf springs and brakes still on it.

The matching driveshaft for this combo can also go with it. Also have 10" SBP front drums, 73+ Upper control arms, etc. Basically the ENTIRE drivetrain from a 73+ slant six car.

I am in southern Arkansas. This stuff is FREEEEEEEEE if it will help you out. If no one needs it all this stuff will be going to the scrapyard here shortly! Come visit with me, have a beer, and ill fill your truck bed up with Free Mopar Junk!

Did you check the valve lash before pulling? Could be the source of the tick

74 still had solids so just tighten the lash...but we all know that. Great offer!

Couldve been, I didnt look into it. When youve got a small block on the stand ready to go in setting hot lash on a 225 doesnt sound too appealing, lol

Understood. Just wanted to throw it out there to possibly save someone the hassle of a rebuild if that's all it might be.

I donated all my 6 banger stuff to the local high school auto shop and got a charitable donation receipt. Win-win.
