slant six and tranny

Does anyone know if there is a 4 speed automatic transmission I can bolt up to my slant six in my a body 65dart. I don't want to cut tail shaft or modify anything if at all possible. Id like the over drive for gas mileage... anyone know if this is possible? :burnout:

Nope.

You can adapter plate (if you can find one) and use an LA case A500 or A518, but you'd still be cutting the crap out of your floor and torsion bar crossmember and shortening your driveshaft.

Or, you get a Gear Vendors for the 904 and shorten your driveshaft.

Or you convert to the A-833 OD manual.

You can use one of these: [ame="http://www.wilcap.com/225350.PDF"]Request Rejected[/ame] and that opens up the Chevy transmission line.

I believe that some have used the TH200r4 with success on the small blocks.
