    Hey I’ve got a slant six with number on the right side of the head. They read G 225 T 7 1 can somebody send some light on these number. I’m trying find a year manufactured and if it’s a solid cam of hydraulic.

    All slant six factory engines use solid lifters.

    Negative, ghostrider. Sometime in the mid 80s is when they changed to hydraulic.

    EDIT: looks like the official year was 81.

    74 was last year of drool tubes around the spark plugs. 3 plugs is early, 5 plugs is later.
