Replacing my slant water pump, and the bottom left bolt (goes into a water jacket) had no washer on it. Is that the way they came? It appears to be the original pump
They all should have some sort of washer, flat or lock. You don't want to run a steel bolt up against an aluminum part. Could have been done a long time ago and just left off.
