Hello first time post question. I have a 1967 barracuda with 273 engine,A904 transmission. Was getting ready to replace slip yoke bushing have axle out of car . Was dry fitting the new bushing to see how it fit. Seems like there's a little bit of play or wiggle in It seems like it should be almost tight maybe I'm Wrong. Micrometer says inside a bushing is 1.56 and outside of slip yoke is the same 1.56 not sure why I have play in there? Anybody has any experience with this?
Thanks for any help

Chris

When you say split I'm guessing you mean the bushing.? The bushing has an almost invisible seam in it. Will that tighten up after I drive it in? I can take the new bushing slide it from one end of the yoked to the other and doesn't seem to change the amount of slop, guessing most wear would be somewhere in the middle or one end.
Thanks for the feedback, anything help
