I'm using personal defense loads. This was Barnes solid copper, and didn't leave a huge exit hole but it did pass through. She walked ten yards, laid down, looked around a couple times, and went to sleep.
I'd like to know if my .380 pistols would be as lethal but I also don't want to injure an animal and not harvest it cleanly

my dad killed one with a .22 , when returning from feeding the cows one winter night , when I was a kid.
Mu sunday school teacher and his son , just killed 4 in his front yard !
As they say back in Mo. more deer taken there with a .22 than anything!

Took this one a few weeks ago with a Dan Wesson model 15 .357 magnum at 42 yards. My first pistol deer.

25-30 yards.
The irony is, I've never sighted this pistol in. The first shot I ever took with it was Sunday at a deer. Missed that one at about 40 yards.
Now that's a good shot on iron sights! Good work!

I have a couple of Dan Wessons. I think they are pure art, I compete with one of them. It will be interesting to see what CZ does with the brand now that they have bought them. Beautiful pistol and nice deer!
