Hi guys,

I just wanted to share some good news with everyone. My son Cody graduates high school next week, then leaves for the Marines about a month after that.
We got invitations to attend high school honors night, and my son received an $80,000 scholarship from the Marine corps! I am so proud of him!
He is there with me every step of the way whenever we work on our Dart Sport, and I sure gonna miss him when he leaves...

Cool, but I gotta ask what made him ask/opt for the marines (nothing against him or anyone else I'm just curious) what is the mos he's going for?

That's great!! The accomplishments the 2 of you have received are awesome. From one service member to another please tell him I said congrats. I am in the Army but the Marines will be the same way. You get out of it what you put into it. If he hates it time will drag on, if he loves and embrasses the life it will be a long and fulfilling carreer. And I too an curious as to what occupation he has chosen? Ask him if he has thought about EOD. As a parent I know you don't want him to do anything that puts him into extra danger but it is a very fulfilling job.

Nothing better then blowing some **** up?

Best of luck to him! I hope in 20 years you two are swapping stories over the Dart sport.

Congratulations to you and your son
There is nothing that can compare to a proud parent :D:cheers:

Congratulations to you and your son Russell. Does the scholarship put him through school somewhere like the Naval Academy?
All the best,
C
