No you have seen a remake of the band with only two of the original band members. The original with Ronnie Van Zant died in a plan crash in 1977. I saw them in 73 at Bucs football stadium.2003 or 2004 went and saw Lynyrd Skynyrd. I’ve lost count how many times I have seen them since.

No cause he died early in the career of the band. 1980. And was only one member. I don’t view drug over dose to a plane crash.
