E17EC0F8-4B3D-48EA-8117-A83483AB7D15.jpeg I had the T5 ‘cuda 440 for 28 years and the red 340 S for 10. This is a picture of them just before leaving for Omaha Nebraska.

I can’t disagree with you there especially on the 440 car. I always had to pull the engine and transmission together whenever I had to remove either of them. The only saving grace was that it can be done without removing the hood. I always was a B-body guy and then these two cars found me.

Nothing yet. I’m taking my time. I really need to find a driver. The two cars that I sold were too nice so I never drove them much and they went to a great home. The same person bought both of them so they will stay together.

Probably a 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury, Fury, Belvedere or Savoy.

Some really cool power plant options in that year. Good luck with your search.

You might try Jim Hale in Van Buren , Ark. , he`s a 64 nut now , or was. He had about every 64 Plymouth body style and engine combination made , at one time a few yrs. back.
His stuff is usually first class too !

Sounds like he’s just like a guy I know here in town. He’s had 50 but only Furys or Sport Fury’s. He has two Furys left that have been driven in at least 30 years. One is a 426 street wedge with a 383 now and the other is a 361 car with a 383 now. The 361 car is the most solid 64 car that I’ve ever seen except it needs paint.

I had a chance to buy a more door 64 fury with a 318 push button auto. And like a fool passed on it because it was a four door. I wish like crazy I would have bought it now.

That sounds like fun. Life isn't forever. You might as well switch things up a bit. I have been thinking of doing the same. I have my eye on a nice 65 Coronet and I will probably sell my 66 to make it happen. I have always wanted a early B body. Have fun with it.

I always liked the 64 Plymouth, how can you not though.

I recently sold a car I had for 19 years and change.

Bought a 62 Dart, which I knew about for a decade or so, saw it a number of times sitting under an old sheet, covered in dust. Didn't really give it any thought.

Now I can't believe I didn't have to have one all these years! So wild looking.

And it will absolutely not be a max wedge clone.

What's under the hood now? I always thought a Poly would be perfect for a cruiser or even a slant 6. Why not. They all don't have to be Max Wedge clones.

Poly 318, haven't tried to start it. I have a 383 4 speed for it. Might even put a tunnel ram on it.

mcodecuda, I hear you, my car of 19 years was painted up and pretty, never drove it. Now I have only drivers, go to cruise-ins on weekdays, free, no bs, no awards to wait all day for, and the best part is I can set a screwdriver on it without worrying about scratching it.

Nice comfy interior, mechanically sorted, safe, and who cares about the rest.

Perfect. The Coronet I have my eye on is a Poly car. I love the look and they run well too. They can be dressed up real nice. 359 Stroker Poly.JPG

I have to admit I love the early B bodies had several, BUT darn they have got hard to find in any decent project, and buying a done car at todays prices-NO way for me!! I still look. When I occasionally find what could be a doable project on CL the idiot does not give a phone number and I never can reach the butthead!
The poly is a god and fun engine and lots of unpdated parts available for a price!! I still think a early B body and a good 383 stick is the ultimate.
My wife loves the look of th 62 Lancer we have... I figure IF I can find a decent 62 B body I will GET IT!!!!! hahahahhhahhaa
But she thinks every car I by can be bought for $1500!

Stock poly in my wagon. I almost bought chrome valve covers for it, but decided to just paint the entire thing the stock color.

The guy I bought my 62 from has a 62 Lancer GT. Never saw one before, I don't think I ever saw a 62 Lancer in person.
                                        It's rough, but so cool.
It was going to the scrapper and he got it for next to nothing. It was so cool I became dumb and forgot to take a single pic.

I have tore down restored any where from every not to half assed bout every model from 62 to 79. I will say I fond the early B body cars to have had better sheetmetal and screws, nuts, bolts than any other models. /
Sure every car has their places that rust unique to that model but I feel the early B cars were just better.
They have got hard to find in decent restorable condition. Easier to find a decent driver and just pay more!!

Where’d you get that pic? I like what they done with the water pump bypass. I’d like to see more of that

Got a 4 door hardtop in the deal, but I may need the torsion bar crossmember out of it.
Even w/o removing that, it may be too much work for the next person to put back on the road.

Somehow I now have too many 318 poly parts, blocks, heads, valve covers, etc, but no 4 barrel stuff.
