Okay........ so if you were to try and duplicate that port as near as you could, without any mid-stream flow testing....... how long do you think it would take?

Any idea how long it would take to do the exhaust?

    Time to do the chamber?

Just trying to give the folks an idea of what they’d be biting off if they went all the way down that road.

Yes my low lift numbers (100-400) took a dip. That stone shattering roughed up the valve job and my Neways need new cutters to do anywhere near a half decent valve job. Now if you are asking how much more with the 2.02, 5-8 max probably. I may grab my Edelbrock Head I have sitting here with a professional 2.08 valve job and the rocker moved .300 and try a few things while I’m warmed up.

To long. Lol. And that’s why I quit doing it for customers. If I remember right the most I ever charged Port a set of heads and intake was 650.00. That included before and after head flowing and bolting the intake on and giving before and after flow numbers. Plus I did all needed valve job work. I’m a slow lazy old man so I work pretty slow. A Head porter charging 1200.00 plus and sending a nice product out the door is earning his money.

Speedmaster Head pinch tubed 1.040 and this one is 1.320. A little more material taken out of this one.

You think the tool head is centering over the guide? I guess it would have to because evidently the operator set the first head of the run in the machine, leveled it and then the tool head does the rest. That's possible.

Still not sold on live pilots. Maybe with a single pointed cutter and even then any run out of the pilot and guide will show up on the seat runout much more than a dead pilot/ball driver.

The other thing I'm not impressed with is the speed. If the cutter is making smoke, you can bet the cutter is growing quite rapidly. A growth of .005-.010 isn't unusual when the tool head and tool go from room temperature to however much heat is building up.

Dealing with a boring bar years ago that had the same issue if you ran it wide open like the manufacturer said you could.

The first hole was ok. The second hole was maybe useable. Every hole after that was lamp shaded so bad you either had to go the next oversize or set a sleeve I'm those holes.

Do you use a grindstone or a carbide burr to start. Finish with a flap wheel?

I prefer a double cut burr and do 95% of my work with one. I hit these real fast with an 40-60 grit sanding roll because guys like shiny. Like I said before I couldn’t afford paying myself by the hour.
