Hi all

Is there a special tool to remove to the 0-ring on the tranny end of a 72 Demon? Any tips how to stop that annoying leak would be humbly appreciated. Thanks!!

Remove the speedometer gear holder marking the position it is in for reinstallation. Obtain a speedo gear housing reseal kit, contains an o ring for the outside and a seal for the inside. No special tools required. I use a small scribe.
You can jack up the rear of the car high to minimize fluid loss, but still would recommend a drain pan.

Thank you very much for the info, greatly appreciated!!

I have always used two of those small seals in those housings.
Especially if the speedo gear shaft had any groove in it at all.

Pretty much any trans shop has them in the drawer of their toolbox.
