speedometer lube and rebuild

Hello all,
Need to re-install my speedo cable.

first, my buddy took the inner cable out, and now we don't know which end to thread it back, from the speedo end, or the transmission end.

Second, what kind of lube is best, was going to use molly mist.

Third, what is the proper route to run it.

Last, where can I get a new grommet fro the fire wall?

Not sure which car (or model), but all the Chrysler stuff I've come across in Australia is the same.
Lubricate the inner cable using Graphite Grease (not dry graphite) example: MolyKote, Dixon's, etc...
Feed the inner cable into the outer cable working from the Speedometer end.
