SRT 10 totaled

Here's another theory, there wasn't anyone in the truck when the damage happened, not enough blood and guts splattered on the seats or air bag.
I ran that through my mind, too. I don't see ANY blood and they almost never get it all out.

bio hazard sticker cause still parts of the guy in there
if no one was in there they wouldn't need to cut the doors off
would think it went off a cliff or into a solid bankment at over 100

more i look at it ...tree can see it rapped around something a line goes up the middle

That's the first thing Kitty said was a tree. I thought it was too flat across the front. Maybe a BIG tree.

Most of the deployed airbags require the ignition to be on. That's why one of the first orders of business for first responders is to disconnect the battery.

Most of the driver's seat is missing. Surprisingly enough, not all accidents of this severity result in a horror movie style gore fest, so most of the "blood and guts" probably left with the victim and the seat.

The doors and most of the driver's B-pillar appear to have been removed with extrication tools, the B-pillar in particular looks like it was cut with a set of hydraulic or battery powered cutters. Those are pretty much only fire department tools, and there's no reason to remove that pillar unless someone was inside.

On the argument it could have been training- extrication training wouldn't be conducted on anything with a bio-hazard sticker. Or on anything going to be sold. Yards typically only donate stuff that's going to be crushed, because extrication training ruins the parts but doesn't change the weight.

some of y'all are blind as a bat or need to quit trying to analyze pics on your phone screens.

edit: or both.

Agree. The pictures on the Copart website are more clear.

You were not passing judgment. I stand corrected. But now you are. We do not know the circumstances.
Little hard to justify the end result. Be my guest. All I can say is at some point, there was no driver; everyone in that truck was just a passenger.

Those big front calipers may be ok. I haven't found a source for any new ones. I did find rebuilt ones requiring exchange. The 1" lowering front coil springs may have survived if you could get them out. Looks like maybe some of the bedside cladding and rear bumper cover could be used. And the SRT bed floor tray is a neat piece.
I wonder if the Dana 60 got damaged by the driveshaft getting jammed rearward. It's a shame the aluminum bed cover got bent. Even the wing got busted.

That’s how the leading edge of the rooter’s center got whacked and the chunks missing from the wheel, because there was a pit crew at the crash site. Ha ha ha ha ha

Took me a minute to realize it was a crew cab.....

A guy I used to work with traded his 5.7 pickup for a used SRT10 on the way back from a work trip. Within a few months he had installed some wicked suspension made by some chassis builder and a paxton supercharger. Thing made over 1000HP/TQ and had the dyno sheets to prove it. Scary as hell to ride in. I can't even imagine what a 500 hp crash will let alone 1000.

The engine is still in there. I found a picture of an oil pan and you can see the bottom of the same oil pan in the wreckage.

The engine is standing almost straight up on end. That's the bottom of the oil pan in between the bottoms of the lower control arms.

I remember Driver's Training in 1966 showed films like Death on the Highway showing fatal accidents in Ohio. There were also films on people being ejected from vehicles due to no seat belts. One teen girl was ejected and landed on a chain link fence. The top links cut her in two. The film showed pictures that you will never forget. They would never do that today!

The film we saw in school was called "Mechanized Death".
It was brutal and graphic to say the least.
I wonder if they are still showing it but in an edited version...

Maybe it was parked and no one was in it.
Looks like it went over a cliff!
& then the responders cut B-Pillars to see if anyone was in there. Maybe nobody was in it, as they'd have to cut a whole lot more to get them out of there, like the whole roof.
If no one was in it , maybe it was an insurance job.
