Hey all, I have a short block that I'm thinking about offloading. It's a mid-70s 360 with a standard bore, eagle eye beam rods and a standard 360 crank. It's perfectly suitable for a rebuild. Never been decked.

Just curious what's the general consensus on market value?

Does it need a rebuild? Stock pistons? If stock or not, a piston description of what they are and who’s as well as where it sits in the hole should be known from the seller to the prospective buyer. Internal or external balancing? Oil pump and pick up included? Pictures?

The above effects pricing.

It has kb Pistons. External balance.

Oil pump and mains as well as deep sump pan included.

Block will have to be bored over to clean up. It has surface rust in the bores.

I can almost wish I took pictures of the rusted bores of my 360 before I took a green cleaning pad to it with transmission fluid. I did t think it would be OK. BUT… a old school bud of mine laughed at me, told me what to do, I spent sometime scrubbing what I for surely thought as a needed boring into a working engine.

This one has been out in the elements exposed a bit. It's been covered up so its not too crusty but I'd be surprised if it cleaned up with a hone job.
