Std Bore 1971 340 What is it worth?

I have a chance to buy a 71 340 block, crank, and rods. The block is in excellent condition all original not tanked or anything and is standard bore. Included is the std forged crank, and std rods. What is a ballpark for what its worth??

The price somewhat depends on what your plans are for it. Are you going to build a stroker? If so, you won't be needing the crank and rods. Even on a non-stroker rebuild, going with new rods is not a whole bunch more than going through the originals so again, there is not much value there. Also, the block should be checked to make sure it is good and that it is indeed standard. Price range (taking into consideration the unknown) would be: $350-$700.
