I changed my steering box for a Borgeson. Problem: The oil is boiling and there is a noise all the time. Do you know what is the problem?

Is the fluid boiling,.... or foaming. My guess is that it is foaming. Check for a leak on the return line from the steering gear, you may be pulling in air, causing it to look foamy. Keep in mind that line is not under pressure so it may not have a visible leak while running, where fluid is coming out, rather it may be pulling in air. Could leak when shut off though.

The noise you are hearing could be cavitation in the pump. If that's the case, you want to get it fixed soon. Cavitation can cause major issues inside the pump.

With the factory system, assist is only supplied under command of the control-valve. But that control-valve is now history.
How does the new unit handle this? If the pump is asked to make full pressure all the time, then yes it will boil the oil. You will probably need a cooler; something that presents a very low resistance to the continuously circulating oil.

I understood the problem.Borgeson steering box have the assembly of inverted hoses.
I had not seen it.Low pressure: left and: high pressure right.

I still have the problem. I start the engine and after 5 minutes, the oil is boiling and the steering pump overflow.
