So brand new tips, which need no work prior to being installed, range from $65 to $280.

The repops look nice! I'm starting to think the ones I have must be originals be because they look a lot different than the repops.

I think you are correct. Those look like original tips to me as well.

Does anyone have an idea of value on the originals?

Value of used original parts is always a tough call. 10 bucks for one guy 1000 for another. I would think maybe a couple hundred if someone just had to OEM parts for a 100 point restore? But then they look good but that good... so I would just put out there a price you can live with.

MCB is/was a stainless and aluminum trim repair shop. He tried to get into the repop parts biz, and said he didnt push it hard enough. Matt from MCB posted a PDF on here about 1.5 months ago with what he had he was liquidating to get out of the repop parts biz. I bought the pair of stainless exh tips for $65. A woodgrain automatic shifter knob for i think $35, and a whole bunch of stuff. About $700 worth of stuff i bought for both cudas. At retail level would cost me about $1K also bought some restored upper windshield trim. I think i payex $25 per piece might have been $50 i cant remember.

65 for those stainless tips was a good deal. A little jealous lol.

It all was a good deal. For me the deal of the year i think. Right place at right time. Even got a flip cap for my 67 for $70. I bought everything he had that i needed for both cars.

Very good. Not 1 flaw. A couple vendors went and vultured in on his stuff, but i got there first and got what i needed for both cars.

The problem with using the original stuff is that the inlet pipe is a shocking 1&5/8 inch pipe! what was Chrysler thinking???? Repops are often available with inlet pipes up to 2&1/2 inches (and this explains why the profile looks funny).

If you check Accurate's web-site, there are different lengths pending year. I know 69 and 70 Darts are different lengths.

Be aware: While I love most of Accurate Limited's products their repop tips that they say are for 1970 Darts (and appropriate for 1970-73 Darts with valance panels under the bumper) are not right if you are looking to match the factory look. The originals had a very long squared box - so long that the L bracket for the hanger is on the box. This allows the box to project out beyond the valance panel to avoid carbon deposits on the painted valance. I've been trying to get them to make correct tips - even gave them an old original tip to use as a model - but no luck yet.
