Do you think a stock 65 tank could be cut and flanged for a drop in efi pump? I saw an efi retrofit one and it looked like it was adapted. Just a cleaner quieter setup than a inline frame mounted pusher ala Ford truck.

The problem with the add on pumps is there is no clearance in the body for them. They need recessed at the tank or the body cut to clear. Someone posted an Ebody pickup that had a pump built into it (I think Spectra made it) and it seemed to fit the 67-up tank fine. Not sure about the 66-down.

    This is my concern.

What did you do about the above?

I extended my tank straps and used some rigid foam to space the tank down about an inch.
