He believes it is a great oil for our old engines, and plenty of zinc for our flat tappets. Diesel oil has a very impressive additive package due to the extreme environments of diesel trucks and a lot of detergents and dispersants for the soot.I see a lot of racers that use rotella i figured it was cause it's cheap... methanol guys that change oil every race though

If this is truly doing what we are thinking, I am very impressed and will continue using it. If it blows up, then it was likely hurt anyway and not the oil's fault. If it fails, then I will be saving for an R5P7!ah nice... i don't know much bout oil but that's good to know... i'm sitting here figuring out what i wanna do for my car.. getting really stupid ideas then just realizing.. i don't need power to drive around and not race...

I am wanting the R5 for Bonneville. It is in the same price range as a big block built for the same power and is made to handle rpm all day. Seems like the best fit for what I want to do. Just need to sell my other kidney to afford any of thisWas sitting here staring at the hugest 426 kit... and realized.. i don't need a stupid amount of power.. even my 318 with the trickflows and roller runs great.. the 4.30 gear is a bit much but that's easy to change... I have that 360 now, maybe just put better rods and pistons in that for a backup..

If I add boost, the record is actually lower at 239
Because the salt is so open - many miles in all directions, there isn't much for field of reference, as I am told. RPM and 1/4 mile markers going by quicker is all you have. A friend said he got his car dialed in and was on a great pass. No idea how fast until he glanced at the tach - 9000rpm in top gear with another mile to go. Ran 235 ish that pass.that's crazy speed... fastest i have been is 140 but that was on a freeway... around 140 stuff starts coming up too fast to deal with (on a freeway)

There are 4 vents per year. Test n Tune in June, Speed Week (super bowl of land speed) in Aug, World of Speed (the one I will go to) in Sept, and World Finals in Oct. Gets rained out often, but just have to make plans and head west to the middle of nowhere.Crazyness... would like to go once before i die though...

The SMPD clocked us with their radar on the front stretch of the Club track at 72 mph.
