approximately 1,/16th of an inch of clearance, without any binding or being forced into position.

Adjust if needed : If the fit is too tight or loose, adjust the length of the kickdown linkage rod using
the adjustrent mechanism (e.g-, screwing a slotted adjustment bar in or out) until the desired
1/16th inch clearance is achieved

Release throtle and reinstall linkage: Release the throttle, then reinstall the kickdown Iinkage and
any return springs

Without the cable and kickdown attached it acted well. With just the cable it stuck a little, so I increased tension on the spring

With the modified bracket and adapter on it is behaving much better. The idle screw is turned down a bunch from where we had it, Mitch

Is the transmission upshifting yet ? Did you drive it after the mods ?

I'll give it a go in the morning. Nearing dark now.

Here's the difference in kickdown length.. about 8 threads shorter
