ON a plus note: My Brother's and I have reconnected over the past few years once my circumstances changed. It's been really nice and I miss that lost time. We run a pretty non-stop text string every day.

I got a message last week from someone I have known for a long time 25 years off drugs.
I had sent a congratulations message. Never really expected a response.
Instead I received a reply that read. Although we haven't spoken but once a few years ago.i just want you to know
What you said to me back then hit me to the core, and altered my approach to life and helping others instead of destroying the one I was given.
We need to meet up in the near future. It's getting late for both of us.

Heck yes that is what I am talking about!

Here was this morning skillet, venison back strap, fresh peppers from the garden whole wheat toast poached eggs and fried taters! Merica!
I got dragged out to the range unexpectedly and never got to post it this morning. Student failed Instructor block this week and was from out of town and very strongly indicated they wanted another run at the shooting qualification. I can grant up to 2 reshoots on ensuing 24hr period. I complied, they should have saved the ammo! Told them don’t expend time effort and energy till they can successfully meet the shooting standard. I hate it for them as they spent hundreds of dollars on the class, lodging, travel, eats etc. But I simply will not pass a student that tries hard but fails. You either can or cannot, there is no try. This generation feels if they have tried hard, done everything asked of them they should automatically pass. Nope, not at my range.

Garage is all clean now and I blew myself off, with the air hose. shower and dinner then sit on my deck and enjoy a nice drink.
