As 'ole P.T. Barnum used to say....I'm getting cranky again with all of the people attracted by bright shiny trinkets who want to know if they will be the solution for all their problems and then some.
The best part missing me is remembering why I missed me. ??? Does that make since???

Pears on the menu tonight
Cooked up a Butternut-Pear soup with curry and cayenne
Pear cobbler is in the oven right now.
Gonna do a pork chop with pear puree on the grill next

Just got home from the theater. We watched (live performance) the three musketeers. We took grandson who I think is eight? Anyway lots of sword play he had a blast. Live theater is always just a great time. Sitting on porch watching the world go by in all its intensity and fury. Sipping a toddie ( not first one) very calm and serene. It has been a good day.

The wife and I went for a ride to a county parl to see how the lake project is doing. (refilling after draining and construction) Looks good. Cruised to a small town nearby and happened to stop at a ice cream shop. Medium soft serve twist cone was about all I want for supper.

Actually yes. I was at a stop sign with my left turn signal on and turned right to drive through to order. "Want an ice cream cone?" "Sure"
Kitchen smelling of cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar baking
I have a couple bottles of Dancing Goat Rye finished in a spiced rum barrel that smells and tastes just like that. Like walking into Grandma's kitchen at Thanksgiving.
