Stop in for a cup of coffee

We saw something similar last night while we were enjoying a nice fire. A big doe and her two "youngin's" walked out of the woods to eat the apples that had fallen off the tree, and even though they were less than 100 feet from us, they didn't seem to be spooked at all when my wife got up and put some more wood on the fire. They must have been there a good 10 minutes or so, and when the apples were all "et", they just ambled off back into the woods.

Pretty cool, actually!

Good thing we didn't have the dogs out with us....
I do like nature, we have them walking all around my home, that picture was 35 ft from my front door in my driveway, wish I had fruit trees, but in my area it's way to rocky. Enjoying life and watching stuff like this brings my blood pressure down, now! If I had a crossbow in my hands thats a different story.

Was running the brush cutter the other day and came across a bunch of apples on ground. Where the heck they come from? Looked at the tree several times before I realized it was an apple tree. Never seen an apple tree grow tall and narrow as this

Is Lynda going to move in with you in that new big apartment?
I'm sure she will be spending a lot of time at my place which is a 4-minute motorbike ride from her new shop. Did you hear new shop? Yes she moved her shop about three blocks onto a bigger Street with more business and it also has small living quarters behind it where her helper and her 10-year-old son live with her. So was advantageous for me to have a separate place nearby. LOL. Kkkkkkk

We have two apple trees down by the shed/shop, and they're "traditional", let's say, in that when they get heavy with apples the branches drop down to a couple feet or so above the ground. Makes mowing around them a PITA, but my wife says we don't want to trim them as the apples keep the deer away from her annuals and hostas.

We used to volunteer at a children's camp near Willow River that had the more upright apple trees like you may have, and I have several videos of deer standing on their back legs to get at the apples. Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself!

Good morning everyone. Nice cool morning, but will get to 80 today. Calling for 86 on Fri and Sat!

I have other apple trees and have seen them rear up to eat. This tree they would have to stand 3 high to eat. Surprised not much nibbled on- yet. They are after the acorns. Too many deer around here, bow season has started and youth starts soon

Cool!! A lady friend that has strong ambition and creativity !! Congratulations Mitch, you sly old fox you lol..
Lynda is awesome, and wise beyond her age of only 40. She has very good business sense. She has built her business and clientele over the last 15 years very nicely and now she has expanded to a better location and added internet advertising. She is doing quite well. She doesn't ask me for anything, and I like it that way. LOL
