Have to wait and see, we are at 6300 feet here, about 900 feet higher in elevation. People I have talked to said only about a foot of snow last year.

Sometimes it's fun. lol I loved sidetracking that kemper dude. LOL
Good luck with our buddy. I pretty given him everything on a silver platter. Takes too much of my time providing links and answers that are then aren't read. I'd have to hold his hand and walk him through step by step and even then... MP had people set the timing at 26 or 2800 rpm and you can't do that without a tach. In fact really can't set initial without a tach except maybe some really old school guys doing old school engines by ear.

Kemper is on Vacation for a month. If he comes back and stirs up trouble again he will be gone.

Not Kemp. This is the guy in the thread that was asking about distributor advance while we went off to discuss how phone connections were made in the old days.

But I did answer all the questions, several with graphics and even provided links with a ton more detail. He says he can use search function and read instructions. But in his new thread he just making wild *** guesses and has no idea how it works. Newbomb/Yellow rose has posted videos of what happens when the advance is stopped. Can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead.

Where is this discussion. Id like to read through it. You and Newbomb have helped me a ton over the years

Oh, the timing plate thread. Those are good in theory.
I agree. A clever idea. Too bad he was so stuck in the conclusion he had jumped too. (Phantom Toll Booth reference jumps into my mind LOL)
It really would not have been that hard to have them made to shorten the inside as another option. Also to have wider slots so the weight pin would not be rubbing on the thin sheet, but rather the original slot sides.

For a long time he promoted these as great, but not for use with vac advance. At some point he figured out a fix of sorts, and thats why I would say if people are going to use Don's plate, then you got to go to him to make it work.

One of the guys on B Bodies responded to my seat thread with these that he put in his early B Body. They look nice for the price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHZ6R9W1?tag=fabo03-20

Price is good. I'm afraid!
I liked what Mitch Lelilito and others said. Go sit in some different seats and see what fits you. Even better if you can do it in similar car as yours. If I switched to a bucket it would be a moving rest to keep in the spirit of the older style. Some of the older Recarros or such.
