I had a model of Grandpa's coffin car. I wonder what ever happened to it?View attachment 1716473464>
Lyons? Fontana? San Gabiel? San Fernando? Had to be one of the strips close to Hollyweird.
Thanks for the link. I'll do my best to make the magic happen from home. Right now trying to gather info on my model to ensure the cart I want to use is suited for the tonearm etc. Keep running into other models but looking for manual etc.I always applaud accurate and thorough cartridge set-up, but if you ever win the lottery and want to get "anal" about it I know just the guy: Ultimate Cartridge Setup - Home
I've known Brian for almost 30 years now, and I've been absolutely stunned by the amount of detail he can pull out of the grooves on even modest TT's. He doesn't come cheap, but he's awfully damn thorough!
You blew it up with firecrackers!I had a model of Grandpa's coffin car. I wonder what ever happened to it?
You blew it up with firecrackers!

I was reading an article on set up for my vintage Technics turntable, guy was demoing this Santana tune I'd never heard. I bought it used on vinyl and played it and found out my new REL subwoofer is a beast. I am working to locate a good protractor for setting up cartridge, got scale yesterday and gauge is coming.
The car or your model?I had a model of Grandpa's coffin car. I wonder what ever happened to it?

Reload!I'm out of bullets since this morning ....... ( Het Dang ). Kkkkkkkk
It's an SL-1500 with factory "S" arm. It came w/o a manual, looking up info on it I see a MK1, MK2, C and lots of SL-1200 info so it's a bit confusing for me although I haven't spent enough time yet to include reading the serial plate etc. I have a "low miles" Shure type iii and a Jico SAS I'd like to run on it, think the tonearm is medium compliance and the cart/stylus combo should work but again need to verify a lot. Might take you up on your offer if things are compatible thanks. What arm do you have, or what TT are you working on?
I have two WallyTractors I could loan you. One is for a 9" arm (VPI JMW-9, SL1200, etc), and the other is longer, but I can't remember the exact length offhand (10.5"?). Regardless, if you're interested, feel free to shoot me a PM.
