Stop in for a cup of coffee

The skies look like it here right now. I looked at the forecast and sure enough it's supposed to get wet outside. :BangHead: :BangHead:
I just looked at our forecast  some of that yellow/orange on the radar moving this way. Yesterday afternoon it was so overcast I figured there was no point in finding a vantage point to watch that Falcon launch. I checked on SpaceX about an hour previous to launch and it was still on. I turn on their live feed from the launch site at South Vandenberg and it's crystal clear :wtf:. Saw them light the fire, rumbling started here, out the backdoor in my jammies. Sunuvab#$%^! There it is!

 Fifteen minutes ago we just had a "Wind Advisory". Now we got this.

* At 611 AM PST, showers capable of producing waterspouts were
located along a line extending from 7 nm northwest of Pismo Beach.
to 16 nm southwest of Point Arguello, moving southeast at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

And a "Flood Advisory" :realcrazy:

Morning Fred!
Good morning Pete, talking about honey do list I made me a spinner and mounted it on the wall in my garage.

And it sounds like a Prius with Fart Cans
 Like many places, there are a lot of 4 cylinder cars with fart can's here. Geez do they sound bad. And the owners drive them like they are a Lambo or something, yet my riding lawn mower is probably faster.

Listing some vintage audio equipment today on Fleabay, Dual TT, Fisher receiver, not sure I want to ship either esp. the tube receiver, hopefully someone will local pickup. May ask wifey to put on her FB Market place, hate selling stuff but no room and these two items aren't going to the Goodwill

Ever thought about selling via US Audio Mart?

I've had pretty good luck on that site (less tire kickers than FB and CL), and I sold my last tube preamp there (met the guy in-person to eliminate possible shipping damages).

Only other things I can suggest are:

1. Take LOTS of pictures, more to CYA and save, than to put on the listing. I'm talking macro pics that show details of critical components. I've had people buy something from me, and then try to return it after swapping out my "good" components with their bad stuff from/for their restoration project, and now I state right up front what I'm doing in order to "help" those guys look elsehwere.

2. If you're going to ship anything with tubes, always take them out (obviously!), but more importantly: You CAN'T use enough foam packing!!! Reluctantly I shipped a Conrad-Johnson tubed preamp once, double-boxed, and the external dimensions of the shipping box was maybe 3X the size of the preamp, and all filled with foam cut-outs. It made it, but I was pretty nervous....

Or, list the item w/o tubes. Heck, most buyers are gonna "roll their own" anyway....

Nah...junk. I have one and it needs more maintenace than my dog
For real? I’ve been eyeing one for 2 years now and was about to take the plunge this weekend when I got to the trade show where they’re at. May I ask what’s junk about them?

They work great when they work. Mine is a different company but I think the same principle. They are set up the same as a furnace with spray nozzle and electrodes. I will say this... they are much quieter than a torpedo heater. And put out a radiant heat but always needs work and I even had to take it to a local shop and when it came back it was no different. Tried to send it back but waited too long. Just my opinion.

Got a few things done, bumper off, and a quick test fit of the tail pan. Its good. Pinion seal out, identified and ordered.
Did the seal kit for the input shaft on the power steering box. Tomorrow i think we are patching fenders and inner fenders.
