It's Toronado Tuesday!

Good morning :D

He did good yesterday. Shot an 82/100. He was very happy with himself. He shoots again today at 2 pm. I’m hoping he can do the same. If he does it puts him towards the top of the leaderboard
Good luck to him at 2 o'clock today, I am thinking he will do better, Two Shots Better Tuesday!! I am going for it..... let it be written, I am sure Fred would agree

long ago I traded this Marlin 30-30 lever gun I had for a brand new Mossberg 500 Junior 20 ga.. Short, light, easy pointing, fit in the Yota 4x4 real well :elmer:Boss was a former sheriff deputy and big into firearms activities, shot the clay birds very frequently. I took it to the rock farm to show it to him, he just grinned "Couldn't get a real shotgun? You need to come to the gun club with me and shoot sometime with that little toy " I had never shot them flying clay things before. My turn came up, I got 19 outa 25. "Gimme that thing! 20 ga don't shoot like that! I gotta try it!" he said in a loud and disturbed fashion. He got 18 outa 25. :elmer: "Maybe that wasn't such a bad trade after all."

We had a customer at the Buick store, black gal with big hair. Her name was Wanda White. I looked at her registration and her middle initial initial was B. You can't make this stuff up. Waterloo had a gal named Fonda Dix at West High a couple years ahead of me. Why would you do that to your kid?

I put the seat in the old truck as low as I could get it when I went to MITP so the bigger guys could drive it around.
Petes son Keith shoe horned his way in but got stuck and almost had to use a can opener to get him back out.

Beginner's luck
Natural ability, memike don't believe in luck, I was blessed with a good teacher from the marines that was a trainer, he put a nylon stock 22 caliber in my hands at age 12, I was shooting it better then most men back then, he would show off my shooting to his Arkansas Fish And Game co workers, he was my father figure once a year for three months between crops growing up, yep, blessed not luck my friend

I got my first BB gun at like 9 yrs old. Took me a year to save up that $11  . We lived in the desert then, closest thing to the back of the house was Ft Irwin, 40 miles away. Dad and I go out there and he would stick his cigarette butts in the top of the dirt berm on the dirt road and make me get on the other side of the road to shoot them down with my Daisy. :elmer:

Best training is from a father I would think, because you want to make him proud I would guess, met my father when I was 16. Yep natural ability and formerly trained, can't cut yourself short.

Yes, but three older brothers can make you try your hardest too.
Oh heck yeah, didn't think about that, I was the oldest of three, then I met my older brother (by 1 year) when I met my father. Yep , didn't think about being the younger brother

Just saw that my service manual is getting delivered today. As many things as I have going on with my 64, a manual should come in handy. Less than $20, even better.

Holy crap Batman. Our house insurance and my collector car insurance was bundled under American National. They don't insure property here in the Midwest any more because of catastrophic claims form Tornados and Derechos. I always got a few hundred dollar refund check yearly if there was no claim. I just got a letter explaining all that and one final refund check ..................................for $1271 and change. Things are looking up.:thumbsup:

Carlisle really lucked out on timing this year. Managed to slide in between some of the heaviest rain storms I have seen here. Last night was a doozie. In a very short time(maybe an hour?) -we got over 2 inches at my place and where I was at work. But the worst was NE Lancaster county about 7.5 inches! Not sure exactly where this pic is from, but they had heavy equipment out on rt 30 to clear debris...
