Stop in for a cup of coffee

It's SS Sunday!

Good morning :D

When I was a teen workin' in that Chevron station in the Mojave, we called Bakersfield Oklahoma City West
We were constantly getting customers from OK on their way to Bako to visit the new settlement and the kin that settled there.
On the other hand there were lots of Cal license plates from Bako heading east to the old homeland OK to visit their ancestors
Almost forgot, Bakersfield, little farming community, population over 1M peoples.

But that's for a '67+ with no rear pump!

We could do a comparison of the procedures. The early ones definately involve locking the bellcrank position and adjusting the intermediate rod. Also I think the spring and slack is set up differently.
IIRC at some point a fixed length intermediate rod was used.
904 vs 727 non-pushbuttons use different length throttle levers on the transmission. It's hard to ID all these little differences and how they effect the operation.
Agreed. And the later years didn’t use a bell crank. But had a different length AND a different kickdown arm ratio.

Used one in the oil field on the Ajax motors.
Last time I went through the oil patch here, every pumping unit I saw was parked. Granted, the crude in this valley is a little heavier than many others, so the demand might have been low for the heavy stuff.

Still a little hazy but after some rain and wind yesterday I can see the mountains, hazy but you can see them. Fire crews took over the fairgrounds here. Easy access to three of the fires from there.

Owner is still running most of the wells I pumped. The biggest hit was when they shut down the natural gas lines. Colorado is doing its best to shut down the oil fields.

Same,Same. Gonna pick up some eye flush/medication today. I'll just have to wait until the appointment on the 25th..... :mob:
had sudden flash of light when looking to the left. and more floaters popped in. Doc got me in right away, ran they tests and said a small blood vessel broke. nothing bad, just IF it gets worse, call right away. no meds or drops. sorry to hear they are leaving you in the dark so long.

The attendance at the Donut Derelicts meeting was rather low. The car shows yesterday may have had some influence on that. A short distance away the County Park is getting covered with the hydraulic and air bag impaired  They even have the local PD aiding with traffic control :steering:Next weekend there is a show at the cancer treatment center next to the hospital. Some time in the near future there is a "Ferd Only" show just up the street :realcrazy:

I saw in the news recently that the Feds are trying to get the local reserves to increase production. I forget the name of it, but the deposit just north of this valley extends like 150 miles east into the San Joaquin Valley. Long ago when the rock farm got the asphalt oil from Conoco who had an asphalt oil refinery here it wasn't unusual for the tankers that brought the oil to our asphalt plant to head out into the oil patch to load crude to take back to the refinery after unloading on us. The refinery actually had a lake/reservoir filled with asphalt oil that wasn't completely refined into the many varieties of asphalt oil they made. It had a little floating barge with a heater and pumps to get the oil back to the refinery when needed. Ducks didn't swim in the lake, they stood on it

Don't mess with your eyes Mitch. Go to urgent care and have it looked at.

Indiana Fever game. Fell asleep 3rd quarter 35-54 Conneticut. Watching from there but I peeked at the final score. WTF.
