Yes . And it was a perfect storm of several factors. The 324 page report to which I’m only about 20 pages in is pretty interesting if not morbid reading. Several factors involved. Either way, it’s worth making sure it’s right. Granted I likely will never be anywhere near the speeds of 200 mph wheel to wheel, i still wanna make sure it right.
The local road course track actually requires those or the other style of head/neck supports on all vehicles with 4 point or more harnesses
So will SCCA for most, maybe now all, W2W racing. What will matter is what the inspectors see on the car. SCCA itself does not certify or approve equipment. They will check what is on it, including your personal safety gear before you race. Some regions set up pre-event checks. Probably should go to one and observe.
Did you mention the looming medical emergency (read postal) they will be facing if they dont just fix your damn tooth already!!! My God
I wish! The clip I was looking for. OMM couldn't find the ones he thought he had, and this set was on e-bay at a very reasonable price. So I have three extras. Someone will need 'em and they don't take up much space.
I thought maybe the harness and neck support should be the LAST thing he buys...so much could change with the rules and regs between now and the "finish".
Honestly. That's about right. it takes a bunch of time to build and develop a car. Davemapes started with his Goldfish. You can take the links to follow his development from 2001-7. MY 1966 FORMULA S PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA And then when he got Josh's Dart, which was already a track car. The begining of developing and testing that out in '06 is here Zebra/Dart/Dodge/Dodge Dart/Road Race/Autocross He got his racing license in 2010 and I think the first W2W races with his own car (the Dart) in 2011. Links in this thread to some of the development since then. His screen name here is CPDave
Dave uses autocrosses to shake out problems and characteristics of the car and changes made (as well as to build his skills). I've learned alot from following what he's done. I even make a guest appearance on his website.
Winter Storm Warning tonight midnight through midnight tomorrow. 6-12" depending on storm tracking. Really ready for spring.
In the RV forum I am in, you have guys preaching "Dont EVER go over your axle ratings" Not even by 100 lbs, some guys! I just shake my head...
6-8 predicted for my neighborhood. Feb. Is about half over. March can be a bitch but towards the end of the month spring is close.
Must be "Maya" has made it your way. Sure left a bit of snow up here in the NW. Good luck, stay safe.
Disappeared for a while. The original Blues Brothers movie showed up on my free Amazon Prime feed so I HAD to watch it!
