I haven't been working on it...too many other projects
Yup. Think all Dusters and Dart Sports were sans vent windows. Later ones only had pop out rear windows. That's just wrong. When I was looking at XJs, working vent windows are limited. An important feature IMO.
I had Autolites in both my cars and I wend back to Champs. Wrong heat range in both and the ones in the Swinger I could hardly get out. They didn't appear to be carboned up on the end but it was like the threads were oversized or they were Loctited in.
I pulled the Champions out of my 360 Magnum MP crate engine in favor of the Autolights. Even the Mopar paperwork that came with it recommended the Autolights. Why the previous owner chose Champions, IDK. It runs much better with the Autolight copper core plugs.
All dusters had pop out rear windows. I have a 71 and a 75 duster and some in between and they all pop out the same.
Kegan converted his to vent wing. I’ve been torn between doing it as well.
I think it's a great idea only because the doors with the wing windows are the metal top doors and the non vent ones are the later ones with the plastic upper trim. That plastic trim is a bear to find these days. Much simpler with the metal tops, except you can burn your arm on the hot metal in the summer (I have a few times but so worth it)
I always favored AC plugs....
I stopped using them years ago. Autolights and NGK are better.
Hmmm what do you mean by trim? I took mine off and it was all metal, unless we’re talking about two different things
Not in Mopars, Fords, or AMC's. GM only.
NGK plugs are good.....I have not used AC plugs in years....
I defiantly used them in my Mopars. At the time, there were Champion, AC, and Autolite.
Who me? Better than being George Costanza.
Agree. Autolights are in mine...those using Champions...wanna race?
Ill give you a go in the 66 next year!
And the gauntlet has been thrown down!!
Just run glow plugs instead of spark plugs.
Better get some Cal Trax. That 66 will have a hard time hooking up with that stroker under the hood.
LOL, that ought to be interesting in a gasoline engine!
AND BFG hockey pucks. BUT, Dave's car has the same BFG tires, so equal in that DEPT/
