That is not the correct exhaust manifold for an a-body, alternator looks different as well. My guess is its a pic of an industrial engine or its a export engine.

If used on right hand drive, the oil filter would hit the steering shaft so it needs to be relocated.

Actually, that 'oil filter' looks like a pre-pump fuel filter, and perhaps a water separator.... pretty common on engines used in rural overseas areas where the fuel supply is not nearly so clean as here. You can see what looks like a fuel line and 90* brass fitting on the rear underside of that assembly.

I was also thinking Export. That sounds logical. I like the exhaust Y pipe also. Very interesting.

It's actually a photograph of an engine and automatic transmission. I think motors are electric. This looks like an internal combustion engine possibly made to be installed in an right hand drive Australian produced Chrysler powered vehicle post 1966.

      From Webster:

      Full Definition of motor
      1
: one that imparts motion; specifically : prime mover
      2
: any of various power units that develop energy or impart motion: as
      a : a small compact engine
b : internal combustion engine; especially : a gasoline engine
c : a rotating machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy
      3
: motor vehicle; especially : automobile
      motordom play \-dəm\ noun

I don't think Atlanta MOTOR Speedway has a damn thing to do with electric motors. I think GENERAL MOTORS makes WAY more internal combustion motors than electric motors.

Definitely Chrysler Australia offering from 1966 to early 1967 , would be an earl lucas or email alternator. then we went to 318 with oil filter mounted to intake manifold with metal pipes to normal oil filter location as our steering box is located on the right hand chassis rail right next to the oil filter plate

Thanks for passing along Websters definitions of a motor, it confirms the original posters picture with the word "engine" may if fact be correct.

Not sure how they came up with the name Atlanta Motor Speedway or General Motors came up with their name but interestingly enough I was on General Motors website the other day and the only motors they sell move windows, seats, sunroofs and other things that require 12 volts to run, and they don't look anything like the picture the the original poster posted. They do sell lots of performance crate engines and replacement engines, engine parts diesel and gas powered however. Interesting as well as the Ford Motor Company site is very similar. I'm so confused!! Can you check into this for me, maybe Websters can help you out. I believe you may work in the automotive parts business so I really value your opinion.
