Street Fire CDI Ignition?

Anyone have one of these or similar installed, if so did you remove the ballast resistor or just or just bypass it? If you removed the resistor, did it affect the charging system? Thanks

I used an MSD box and removed the ballast, I replaced it with a terminal block.

Did you rout all your wires that went to resistor to the terminal block and then per the wiring diagram? Thanks for your reply..

yes the wire that were on the ballast went to the terminal block. I had to jump two terminals tighter because of the ignition. You have a start wire, run wire and a 12 volt source. Then I used the other terminals for other uses. I got the terminal strip from O Reilly's and cut it down, it was a 8 section bar.

I have another post going, on my charging system being high and pulsating. The resistor was missing when I purchased the car I was wondering if it was part of the problem. Thanks for your replies....
