Stroker

I may have Ace David away for the needle with a chickenHW do the Whip or the needle....
There that should have made an equal amount of sense....

Im going to try to get the numbers off the crank, i think its a 4.00 stroke crank just trying to figure out what brand it is. But its a 483 stroked 400.

I've never heard of a 4.00 inch stroke for a big block. 3.90, 4.15 and 4.25 are all very common but 4.00 is a new one on me. If the heads are off you can measure the stroke fairly easily by using a ruler on the top of the piston. If the engine is all together and it runs good then it doesn't really matter what the stroke is. If you're trying to buy pistons then you'll need to know what you're dealing with.

It was pretty much just disassembled with rods/pistons still assembled, the crank is in a box and the block has some fine scratches in a couple cylinders maybe i can hone it. I'll get pics soon.

Ok this is weird.... It has 6.800 rods? and the short pistons for a 440 source 500"? Well with that and a 4.005 stroke crank wouldn't that sink the pistons a little far down in the hole?
