I noticed while snooping around on car that there were more threads showing on passenger side strut compared to drivers side.
Also the "looser" drivers side, the bushing was nowhere near as compressed as passenger side. Cotter pins on both sides intact.
I go to tighten drivers side as per fsm(40 lb/ft). It is nowhere near that. I have it now around 30, but there's no way those cotter pins were designed to hold the torque on the nut. They're there imo to keep nut from backing way off.
Before I dig too much deeper, should I use med strength loctite on nut?
Thanks all!

Just make sure you don't change your alignment setting when you mess with the strut rods???

On the pass side of the K-Member, where the strut rod bushing is...is that mounting surface in the K caved in slightly??

how do the tires center in the wheel well openings on each side? look at the tire to the front corner of the fender...
