Stumbled into it....

Thanks everyone, i appreciate the warm welcome!

Got cam bearings in, started to do main bearings, but the rear main seal I have just seems small to me. So, I've got another coming tomorrow to compare.

Slowly moving along, cam bearings were tight, got another set and the second from rear cam bearing had to be lightly honed.

Got it to move smoothly by hand with the gear on the cam, and buttoned up the xe256 with the new timing set. Got new rod and main bearings and rings in and the bottom end put together.

Heads hopefully done this weekend....

Then I'll plug in the new ceramic super comps and performer intake and get it back in the car. Hopefully a solid 318.
 
Glad it found a Loving Home . Mine just went under the knife today . Sitting 2 years in my garage . The Phoenix will Rise from the Ashes in her Rebirth . :)
