Suggestions for new design Aluminum Mopar SB clean slate (kind of) cylinder heads

Nice looking head. Appears to be a different casting than the Speedmaster.

The first set I did was right after I got my flow bench. I fixed them and all the rail birds were sure I butchered them.

Couldn’t get him to go to the dyno by he picked up 3 tenths.

IIRC that was the head was had an 18 degree angle on the intake valve and 23 on the exhaust.

They didn’t do well because they just weren’t that good.

Yeah, they blew elephant chunks, but that doesn't mean the idea couldn't work.

You can make them work. The issue was guys were pissed they bought a head and then had to fix it. They could have started with a better head and not had to pay to had them fixed.
 
just saw this thread, if they're going clean slate, I'd look at doing a big port/big valve polysphere head, since that's what the lifter angle was designed for....

I wish Blueprint nothing but success in their cost cutting endeavor but there is absolutely nothing “clean slate” about this. Edelbrock copy with Chevy rocker gear.

I just talked to them at PRI yesterday. They had both big and small block mopar heads on display and said they are available.

Yeah, I ended up stopping and talking with them too. They had an aluminum gm block also. 6000-7000 is what their ballpark was on that. Wow....
 
@Johnny Mac Idk where y’all are at in the whole process of these heads (without re-reading a bunch) but after working on assembling my 5.9 magnum with speedmaster heads today, I discovered that not near all the factory holes in the ends of the heads are replicated on the speedmasters and one bolt hole on both sides can’t even be drilled/tapped due to there not being any aluminum in that area. So my contribution to this thread is that if the factory magnum bolt holes on the ends of the heads could be replicated, that’d save people like me, who want to utilize the factory magnum serpentine setup, a lot of headache and fabrication down the road.
 
Not sure if anyone mentioned making a clean slate head based off of canted valves, 260-280cc raised runners in big block max wedge size, small unshrouded combustion chambers.
Long valves for tall installed height since .900 lift would be peak at 375 - 400 CFM.
That's what I would build for a small block.
